Monarch Airlines is a British airline, headquartered in Luton. The airline was founded in June, 1967 and started operating
from April 1968. It operates scheduled services to 43 destinations in the Mediterranean Islands, Canary Islands, Egypt, Cyprus, Greece and Turkey from its
bases at Birmingham, Bradford, Gatwick and Manchester. It happens to be the oldest airline in the UK which is operating with its original name since its
establishment. Monarch Airlines has won a number of awards including the Best Charter Airline in the TravelWeekly Globe Travel Awards for three
consecutive years, 2009, 2010, 2011.
